I found the book to be odd at first and read a little more though, I told my self over and over again to put it down. It is a good story and seems to focus on Cayne and Julia the two main characters. I have found that much to my disliking the book tends to jump around alot. It was hard to put done once I got into it. Julia and Cayne seemed to me at first to have a Love/Hate Relationship.
Julia is a 17 year old girl raised by foster parents who's house is burnt down and family is killed. She meets Cayne and they hide in an abandon warehouse for the most part of the story. They go to Visit Rosa, a friend of Cayne from his past and she is killed as well as her son by the Nephilim. He was hunting to find and destroy Cayne. They travel to DC in order to escape him. Cayne was captured and that is pretty much where the book ended.
It kind of leaves you hanging right and makes you want to grab Book 2 of the Stained Series - Stolen.

My Rating - I would Recommend the book to others to read. be-warned it jumps around and seems to be all over the place. It is a good book other wise and I see it having alot of potential as a series.
